This is more my speed.  So, this story is sort of like Fancy Nancy where the story is in English and she always uses French words for kids to learn.  This does the same.  The story will uses certain words like grandma and grandpa in pin yin.  We don't get to see the character, but this is easier for me to grasp the concept at least.  I can learn a book of 20  words in one story version a whole story that doesn't make sense.

Marcy is messy.  Her grandparents are coming and her mom gets on Marcy to clean her room.  Well, she does and in the process she wrecks the rest of the house.  Her grandparents arrive and Marcy looks very clean while it looks like the mother is the slob.  Classic flipping the scene on someone.

Marcy reminded me so much of my Nephew.  He is the same way.  Everything he does is a friggin mess.  When he tries to clean, things have a way of becoming a bigger mess.  I am always amazing at the slob he is.  I often wonder if he does it on purpose to mess with us all.  Nephew has the energy of a Fox, sly and sneaky.  I often wonder if being messy is part of that Fox spirit thing.

Anyway.  Fun book.  I wasn't crazy about the artwork, but a funny story.
