Another school read I didn't enjoy. This time I'm not sure I would have rated it better if it hadn't been an obligatory read. Gottfried Keller just isn't my sort of author.

Ich war sehr skeptisch am Anfang, aber die Geschichte war relativ spannend und die Sprache nicht schwer. Das Ende hat mich auch viel mehr beeindruckt, als das Ende (und die Geschichte insgesamt) von Shakespeare. Mein Problem ist nur, dass ich dies nicht unbedingt als realistisches Werk bezeichnen werde, ich fand es eher romantisch.
