The Paris Vendetta by Steve Berry

It's a fun romp book - moves fairly smoothly, although the jumps between characters at the end were a bit too quick and jolting and distracted me. A couple of character turns that surprised me, so that was definitely something. I did feel like it was a bit flatter than the other books in this series, though.

Good for the commute, which is exactly why I bought it.

I'd never read Steve Berry before but it seemed right up my alley so when I won this on Goodreads I was very excited. It's pretty fast-paced so it's easy to get into it and hard to put down. Definitely want to read the first ones now!

Another great addition in the Cotton Malone series by Steve Berry. Ending was a bit sad, but the suspense was great, kept me reading. Looking forward to Cotton's next adventure.

Enjoyed the Paris aspects of this but didn't like some of the darker aspects involving Henrik. I would give this 3 1/2 stars but not possible on here. Bumping up to four stars because I liked the Napoleon history and introduction of Sam Collins, the new agent.

Another book won off of goodreads. I'm excited to read it when it comes!

And it did not disappoint. It does a great job combining action, history, international affairs, and conspiracy. I had never read a book by Steve Berry before and I was happy to see that this book is part of a series. I am looking forward to going back and reading earlier books in this series.

The book reminds me of Dan Brown's books, but I think the characters more than in the Dan Brown books. You get that there is more to Cotton and I want to know more about his past that was alluded to in the book. However, you don't need to have read the other books in the series to enjoy the book which is nice.

I keep trying to write this review in my head. It's either one word long or paragraphs and paragraphs, so I'll stick with the one-word version of the review:

Meh.

This far in, I should be, if not invested, at least interested. I was neither.
