The first book was so good and got me out of my reading slump, but this one put me back in one. This was so boring I could not bring myself to actually read the last 100 pages I had to force myself to skim through it so I could finally put this book away.

Honestly? Up until three quarters of the book I was going to one-star it. It got a little bit better toward the end and I decided to give it 3 stars.
There were some parts that I liked but there were others I really, really disliked. The whole first half of the book it felt like I was I reading a cooking. There was Lara Jean baking cooking the whole. freaking. time. It got so boring and repetitive at some point that I was about to DNF it. The only reason I pushed through wad because I was already halfway in and it was the last one in the trilogy. If it were the second one I would have just dropped it altogether.
On the other hand, I liked the whole talk about colleges because it made me remember when I was applying for them, and how disappointed I got when I got rejected from the one I was looking forward to get into. It felt very real and it was one of the few parts that actually resembled reality.
However, this book was very weak plot-wise. Nothing really happened, there was no action, no discussions, no jealousy, nothing at all! I think book two and three could have been merged together, and it would have been a nice duology. Because, while the idea of the First book was nice and funny, book two and three just dragged on without proposing any new content.

This was pretty good. I read this book pretty quickly, and even though there were some parts that felt like unnecessary drama, it was overall a really good book. Jenny Han is an amazing writer.

Reden wir nicht lange um den heißen Brei rum: Dieses Buch ist reiner Fanservice. Ob das was gutes oder was schlechtes ist, muss wohl jeder für sich selbst entscheiden.
Der dritte Teil fängt mehrere Wochen nach dem Ende vom zweiten Teil an, und in denen ist anscheinend doch so einiges passiert. Am Ende von P.S. I Still Love you gab es mehre Konflikte und Probleme zwischen Charakteren, und ich war schon gespannt wie diese im letzten Teil gelöst werden. Ich habe mit allem gerechnet, aber dass ausgerechnet das, worauf ich mich schon fast gefreut habe, einfach so in einem Nebensatz abgegandet wurde war mehr als enttäuschend.
In manchen Fällen war es sogar richtig frustrierend, weil der zweite Teil genau auf diese Momente hingearbeitet hat. Als Resultat dann einfach ein „Ach ja, in der Zwischenzeit ist übrigens dies und das passiert“ hingeklatscht zu bekommen fand ich enttäuschend.
Aber generell hat es Frau Han anscheinend nicht so mit der Konfliktlösung. Wieder einmal war das Potenzial da, aber genutzt wurde es nicht wirklich. Es gab mehrere Themen die ich recht interessant fand, aber über die kaum bis gar nicht geredet wurde, und schlussendlich innerhalb weniger Seiten „gelöst“ wurden, als wäre alles gar nicht so schlimm gewesen. Irgendwelche Konsequenzen gibt es natürlich auch nicht.
Natürlich darf auch in diesem Buch das Drama nicht fehlen, das nur existiert weil die Charaktere nicht miteinander darüber reden. Wäre ja zu schön gewesen, wenn irgendjemand von denen aus den letzen zwei Jahren was gelernt hätte, pfff!
Was sich auch nicht geändert hat ist, dass auch nach drei Büchern keiner eine wirkliche Charakterentwicklung hatte, außer vielleicht Peter und das auch nur minimal. Und Lara Jean und Peter passen, in meinen Augen, immer noch nicht zusammen. Auch wenn sie hin und wieder ihre schönen Momente haben, reden sie die meiste Zeit aneinander vorbei, haben falsche Vorstellungen von den jeweils anderen oder liegen sich in den Haaren. Ich werde es einfach nie verstehen, wieso sich Lara Jean für Peter anstatt für John entschieden hat.

This was just... I don’t even know how to explain, it was just dull. Nothing really happened? Anything that I thought might turn out to be interesting just wasn’t. Honestly, if I didn’t have this as an audiobook, I don’t think I would have bothered to finish it.
