If you want a book where you aren't supposed to like the main character, this is for you. A short (less that 100 pages) book written through letters lets us get a glimpse into the wild actions and thoughts of Lady Susan, a truly awful woman. She is rude, haughty and I loved the entire thing! It is quite funny. I am glad it is short because I am not sure if I would like to read a longer book of only letters, however I quite enjoyed seeing each characters' thoughts on different events and how they all wrote to different people. This is my first Jane Austen book I have completed.

Another great book by Jane Austen and I am not even surprised by its uniqueness!
she is able to portray characters like no other, somehow we get into each character, the good and the villain ones, the same!

lady Suzan is a shameless person, a villain even to her own daughter. she made me speechless with her attitude all the time! how can a mother be like her, will that what makes her interesting and the center of the story and I really appreciate her in the book :)

I found myself really curious about the life of Jane Austen, I was wondering how can a person describe characters like that- the characters are complex ones for sure!

for sure this is a must-read for Jane Austen fans :)

I could not connect to the characters or the writing. The letter nature made me feel like we were at arms length
