This is my first book from Lisa. I found this title in a list about nerdy characters and because of that I decided to give it a shot. This book was a nicer surprise there is just the right amount of drama. It’s definitely a quick reading and very entertaining. I liked it a lot, si much I’m thinking about reading the other ones in the series!

Oh this one was just so much fun and heart. I really liked Jack and Ella. Together they were lovely. And I LOVE seeing the previous couples come back.

I was so hoping that Ella was going to be able to keep

and honestly the way it was done was so perfect.

I liked it but Jack was also a little too forceful at times and it made me uncomfortable

Good story, characters, and romance just like the other books in the series. An interesting story involving a baby and dealing with those problems. After reading this and the other books in this series I really wish I was part of the Travis family. Wish there was more to this series too. Lisa kleypas is great!

You've got to love Lisa! Billionaire playboy, and all-around ladies’ man, Jake Travis has a reputation as big as the state of Texas. He drives too fast, lives too hard, and loves too many women to count. In her advice column, and her love life, Ella Varner is always practical. So when she’s left holding her reckless sister’s baby, she decides to ask Jake Travis to take a paternity test. Ella is instantly struck by Jake’s bold good looks and easy charm—but she’s not falling for his sweet talk. This big sexy tomcat needs to take responsibility for his actions, and Ella’s making him stick to his word. Now if she can only ignore the unspoken attraction that smolders between them…

It was a really nice romance. Nothing exceptional but still a nice story.
I really loved Jack but I found Ella to be a bit confusing at times.

This is the perfect read when you need something light and romantic.

A little trite, but I was in the mood for sickly sweet.

I'm not sure if the fact that I was listening to it rather than reading it detracted from my enjoyment of the book. I didn't really get into it as much as I would other books.

I also got a little distracted with the perspectives presented. I keep trying to figure out if it was being told from the first-person or the third-person.

Like vanilla ice cream. Predictable, but in an classic, satisfying way.

No big conflict, drama, surprise, and that could leave you feeling a little empty handed at the end (depending on what you wanted from the read). But! On the plus side, a whole lot of sweet falling in love going on.

The best part was that the BIG MISUNDERSTANDING gets cleared up fast to make room for real plot/dialogue.

Both characters are lovable. Austin meets Houston personified. Ignoring the unrealistic baby/mama/billionaire cliche/set up, I felt like their relationship was one my friend (or friend of a friend) could be having. Modern and not too over the top.

During a re-read, I found myself getting annoyed by a lot of telling and not showing.
