Having only read Lisa Kleypas' historical romances previously, I was curious to see how her contemporaries would compare. As it turns out, there are traits I'm willing to overlook in historical romances.
Ella, a feminist(?) columnist, suddenly finds herself in a new city, caring for her sister's newborn son for three months whilst her sister gets much needed therapy. Jack, the typical rich Playboy, was top on the list of potential fathers(and thankfully, was not involved with the sister at all).
If you like possessive, pushy men who kiss away the "No"s, then you might enjoy this more than I did. Unfortunately, body betrayal syndrome is a lot harder to excuse here than in historicals.
