Las historias cortas del universo de Shadowhunters siempre me gustan y esta no es la excepción.
Este cuento nos da un vistazo a la vida diaria de Magnus, Max y Alec (con la cantidad justa de Magnus para hacerlo adorable sin llegar a ser intenso), incluso vemos un poco de Jace y Clary y cómo la relación de cada uno con Alec evolucionó.
Pero sin dudas, lo mejor es conocer más a Lily y ver cómo es su amistad con Alec. Sus personalidades se compensan perfectamente y sus charlas son tan honestas y reales. Quiero un libro completo de ellos dos teniendo aventuras y haciendo del mundo un lugar mejor.
Por otro lado, esta historia nos lleva al Instituto de Buenos Aires y, siendo de Argentina, eso le suma puntos en mi corazón.
La parte que revisa la historia de amor de Auraline y Roland podría ser un cuento independiente, al final del día no le suma a este relato en particular. Sé que sirve de excusa para mover el argumento pero no parece necesario pues no termina en nada.
Tal vez sea un tema personal porque es la parte de la historia que depende de Jem y Tessa, dos personajes que me resultan muy poco interesantes.
Hay dos momentos de Jem que me parecieron que iban a aportar algo y no lo hicieron, cuando ve a Alec y recuerda a Will (¿alguna vez esa comparativa nos va a dar algún resultado?) y cuando menciona que no puede ser un Cazador de sombras sin su parabatai.
"The Land I Lost" es entretenida, pero sobre todo es emotiva. Habla de las familias, de la gente que uno quiere y de la gente que se va. Es una buena historia que además de expandir el universo, suma nuevos personajes.

I really like this short story.
It's sweet, with a little glimpse at Alec and Magnus's domestic life.
I love the little interactions between Alec and Jace or Alec and Clary, it feels like a realistic development for them.
But the best part was Lily.
I want a full book with Lily and Alec (maybe Maia too) traveling and helping Downworlders, I want to see them solving misteries and being kick-ass heroes.
On the other hand and I'm in the minority here, but I have no interest in Jem and Tessa so their part of the story was slowing me down. Even if the story of Auraline and Roland was nice, I feel it like an afterthought.
Also, I was expecting a pay off from Jem thinking that Alec looks like Will but... no. It´s just a comment to make me think in Will.
At the end, it's a fun read, Alec and Lily were incredible I think just for their friendship this story is worth the read.
