The build up of the book was good. Well-rounded characters and a mildly interesting plot. However, the final bit after chapter 19-20 things started to lose steam. And I kept thinking “when is the rape going to occur?” and my worries were answered when it happened extremely late in the book and there was little to no coverage on the case after besides for the epilogue picking up years later.
