This is an "in-between" novella and for the first time in the series, it's told from different point of views, not just Gracie's. I enjoyed that, it gave me an insight into what was going on in the other characters' heads.

Each have their own issues : whether it's handling ghosts and thinking of a possible future for a relationship (Gracie), dealing with family (Beau), handling business (Clete), working out as a couple (Will). Mellie has more serious things to work on and I wouldn't like to be in her shoes. Gracie might see her father showing up ?... And this novella ends up on an interesting but risky professional perspective for her.

I'm always happy to be back in Heron's Creek, I say it all the time but it's because that's true. It's such a fantastic series - on more counts than one ! Because there are ghosts in it, of course, but also because of the characters and the author's sense of humor.

When I read this story, I can easily imagine myself there, picture what the characters look like and I'm dying to know what's going to happen to them.
