A gorgeous stranger next to you at the bar...
He's not GQ model handsome, he's a rugged looking dream in a bespoke suit.
He's the fantasy older man...smart, charming, witty, and down right lickable (it's totally a word).

Even better than the insta-lust, he genuinely seems interested.
So what do you do?

Start by telling him a story...

Sweet and downright sexy story and it's only the beginning. I'm really excited to see where this goes!

Really great start to the series. Caleb and Emma's relationship began at a story brothel, where he paid her to read her erotic stories to him. It was certainly an unconventional start to the relationship, but they're so good together.

The blurb is what drew me in to Tell Me a Story. I love reading books about authors or bookstore owners, I think it’s just because I love the book world so much. So I was super excited when this hit my eReader. And I did like it. I adored Caleb. I love it when there’s an older man in the book, especially one with silver in his hair. I love this look. I keep trying to get my husband to cut his hair shorter so I can see his grays. He just laughs at me. I thought he was sexy and couldn’t get enough of him. I wish we had had his point of view.

Emma is where this story fell a little flat for me. I just couldn’t connect with her. I felt like she was in her head too much. She didn’t seem like a thirty-four year old business owner to me. It made the story seem stilted and awkward at times. I do like the juxtaposition of her rockabilly style with his businessman look, it’s not a typical pairing.

Overall it’s a decent book, it’s well written and the plot is well thought out. There were just a few things that didn’t work for me. I’ll still be reading the next episode, I want more Caleb.

The initial concept of this was so cute and fun and fresh, the first half set up for a solid 4 star read but I had some issues as it went on.

The Plot:
This book flew by very fast and it had the nicest meet cute the story brothel and the coloring night were cute contemporary style moments that managed to be original. But then I had a problem. They started dating, and it was very much told and not shown. Like one paragraph would focus on developing their relationship, and then the rest of the chapter would just be elaborate sex scenes. It seemed like the author was more concerned with letting us know that they had a strong physical connection, rather than building them up emotionally.

Characters:

Emma-
Was your average stereotypical romance lady the only non generically details about her that I really loved was that she came from a poor background and her love for books and writing.

Caleb-
Was unf, (just an FYI I pictured him as Nyle DiMarco from ANTM) we didn't get much of a chance to learn his layers as a character. He was kind and had a lot of sex appeal, and his chemistry with Emma was on point but like I said, they didn't focus enough on the emotional in general.

I'm so pissed that I can't remember her name but Emma's friend, I know it begins with an S! - I loved her, she was sassy and didn't take any of Emma's shit and she was gay and I just loved that it would've been so easy to make her straight like every other side friend. And then the fact that she was paired up with the lead man's sister??? I loved it.

Overall-
I sadly was expecting more out of this one, but what I was given I did really enjoy and I'd totally be willing to read further into the series.

Good start to this 5 part serial. Well written and sexy as hell. I liked both characters. Though the heroine got on my nerves a tiny bit. I enjoyed it enough that I will probably continue on to the next book.

I admit to picking this one primarily based on the location. You so rarely see a book set in Orlando and this author was obviously familiar with the area. I got a big kick out of the "Did you know that this was a sinkhole?" line in reference to Lake Eola.

Ahem, on to the actual book. The whole premise of this one was a odd. Emma is a book store owner in Orlando and a "free spirit" which really just translates to her not wanting to get too emotionally attached to her lovers. Caleb is a billionaire real estate mogul widower. They meet-lust at a book event, where Emma reads to Caleb from her own original erotica. The sex scenes in the book within a book were pretty terrible and it actually detracted from my enjoyment of the story overall, which is a shame, because the sex in the actual book was pretty good.

I appreciated that it was a quick read, because the pacing in the book was good, but I didn't feel like there was much left to be said at the end. Overall, it just felt a bit too easy and overdone for me. There are so many billionaires to go around in romances and all that money just clears up problems in a snap.

A beautiful bookstore owner, a gorgeous real estate billionaire mogul and the ultimate act of love. Tell Me A Story is a true romance about a struggling bookstore owner meeting the man of her dreams and it will capture your heart.
Emma Price is a local bookstore owner, who reads her romance stories at a monthly literary event. The event is known as Story Brothel whereas writers read their stories to patrons who pay by the minute to listen. What a “novel” idea!
Tell Me A Story is pure pleasure from the first sentence. I was totally captivated by the synopsis and knew I had to read it. The story did not disappoint! Its sexy, passionate, and seductive. Emma meets Caleb, the unknown billionaire who falls in “insta-lust” with her curves and stories.
Caleb is the perfect gentlemen and alpha male hero. Their whirlwind romance is blazing hot and perfect. While Emma can’t escape the issues she has about her past, Caleb is busy being the perfect lover spoiling her with gifts, candlelight dinner dates and scorching hot sex. Both of them do not know how tangled he may be in her bookstore remaining open along with the other business owners on her street.
Tell Me A Story is romance without a lot of angst. It’s equal parts sexy and heartwarming. As a novella, I devoured this book in a day I started it late last night and finished it on my way home from work . I have also made room for the next 4 episodes at the top of my TBR list. If you like your romance hot, sweet, fun and romantic, you have no other choice but to fall in love with The Story Series. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

This was very mature. The character Caleb makes you want to grow up and grab a guy like but they do not make them like that these days. And if they do, They are few. The whole idea of having fun without looking at consequences is not only attractive but also so much fun. Showing age is not really a factor in all these matters of the heart and things. Caleb is mature and interesting, I mean, he reads, whats not to like? Emma is fun, she makes erotic thoughts sound very normal, if you know what I mean. A little bit annoying and overreacting tho.
