Ahh! So much going on in this one book.
But even though I found myself frustrated with the many jumps, I thoroughly enjoyed this last book of the series. I thought it tied up the previous two novels nicely. It was great finding out the backstory behind the matriarch of the Young family (Su Yi).

There’s some underlying tones of racism, misogyny, colourism and Zionism in this authors writing and I do not think I can pick up another book by him but I did enjoy this series due to the plot and word building.

I enjoyed this book, but I didn’t find it to be phenomenal. The first book is still my favorite, though I have to say I enjoyed this one much more than the second book. It just feels like too much is shoved into these books. There are so many people I have a hard time keeping everyone straight. This was an enjoyable read but I’m glad to be done with the series.

The drama was back on in this third segment and boy was it a rollercoaster. I went to bed at 4 am this morning because I was so caught up in the whirlwind that are the Shangs, Youngs, Leongs and extended family. Kevin was trying to wrap up everything for us but the ending felt a bit weak. I'm not going to end on that note tho, it's been one of the most frenzied, bachannal book I've read in a while and it's definitely ended up on my re-read the entire set in a few years list.
