Why did I try to convince myself I needed to read all of her backlog? She has a lot of books. I guess I'm just buying my time until I get my next torpedo ink book.

Another great story in the series. I loved both the characters. I loved this dark twin. I loved the wolves! And Jaxx was really awesome. She was a fighter!

They were masters of the darkness, searching through eternity for a mistress of the light...

I truly enjoyed this book! Yes the Hero (main male character) is over bearing and probably not a feminist but it was still good!
It was well written with a vibrant world & well developed characters.

{Book Blurb} He ran with the wolves...materialized from the mists...hijacked the very heavens to his whims.
Whoa ... this Life Mate business is serious! Will Lucian find his in time or will he go from Dark Protector to Dark Tormentor of his people?

Yet another great Carpathian novel. I loved the story, the plot, the characters, everything.

I just can't put this series down...this is actually the SECOND time I've read it. LOL
If you haven't read any of them, do yourself a favor and start from beginning! This one doesn't disappoint. Strong female characters in all the books but this one was a pleasant surprise.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I liked Lucian a lot more than I have liked most of the other males from this series. Yes he was all caveman and forced his will but thats just what they do. It's a story not real life. And he seemed to feel guilty when he did it and the only times I remember him doing it was when he wanted Jax to drink from him. Is that right? maybe thats wrong. But if thats the case then he's better than the rest of them. Plus he was kinda funny and I liked that about him.

Jaxon I didn't really care for. She has a shitty childhood. Alright. That sucks. But her way of coping with everything was so freaking annoying. The whole denial thing. I hate that. She was suppose to be this bad ass cop and her way of dealing with everything was to pretend it wasn't there or that she didn't hear it.. That just annoys me. Honestly Lucian kind of got stuck with a shitty life mate.

And can I just say really, one shot took him down? COME ON! thats just embarrassing.

Lucian, Lucian.
In these books, the Daratrazanoff lineage is one not to be messed with. Each of them are intimidating in their own right. They each possess power, probably too much power because it oozes out of them in the arrogance fans know and love.
I adore Jax. She is strong, resilient and not one to tolerate Lucian’s protective streak lightly. The manages their burgeoning relationship with humour and self-preservation and the idea that she must protect him.
I love the comedic a scenes woven through the book, especially near the end.
As always, these books make me feel all the feels.
