Possibly my favourite of the series so far!  Lundy’s story is so sad!

3...I want to start by saying I did really enjoy this novel...I just felt like some parts were super rushed...The fight with the Queen, for example...And it just made the whole book seem rushed. My least favorite, but still good!

Honestly loved Lundy so much more after reading this one...and I kind of loved the crossover (in my own mind) with Nettle and Bone. Goblin markets can always be the setting, I will not be mad about that.

13y/o: This is 4¾.

Me: Saving the five for a few books from now?

13y/o: Yesssss. Actually, I think this one is 4½. I really love the family dynamics in this one. And I know I told you this while we were reading, but the conversation between Katherine and Diana in the kitchen? SOB.

Me: I. KNOW.

13y/o: And also, thinking about
Diana's son visiting the Market?
omg

Me: Do you think
he stayed? Since Diana wrote that letter in 1990, and no mention is made of him having been at the school?

13y/o: omg, maybe? And maybe we'll get THAT as a book or short story one day?

Me: I hope so.

13y/o: I'm glad you're reading Juice Like Wounds to me now, bc I haven't read it and I always felt like Mockery had such a huge presence without ever having appeared on page.
