I was having trouble getting started with the book, if it was because I was in a reading slumber or it was because the book in the beginning was boring, i don't know but I through the book I begin to like it more. And at the last 50 page I had a hard time at putting the book away.

I like how the story between Mariah and Phoenix how slow it is in the beginning and how she slowly over comes her past with the help from Phoenix and some of the others. And also how Phoenix, with the of Mariah changes and forgets his past.

I wasn't sure I was going to like this story. Not sure it could be considered a stand alone, but I continued on in hopes that it would meet expectations. I am very glad I finished.

Mariah is the answer. But which way will she choose? She's gone through horrible abuse at the hands of guardians and she's boxed away some very important feelings. Will Phoenix be able to walk her through those feelings, or will he continue the damage? Phoenix also has his own luggage. Loving a woman over a century ago, and not being able to save her weighs heavily enough that he's missing what happening between him and Mariah. Making the promise to each other that they will be friends and never lie to one another becomes the sliver of hope that they both need to help them conquer their fears and to move the Mephisto forward in their war against Eryx and his minions.

Before I started wasn't sure I'd like this as much as previous in series, at end of book 2 I wasn't as keen on Mariah and Phoenix as others, but This changed my mind, completely different from the other books in the series in tone and definitely matured a lot , mariachis character and abuse dealt with sensitively , highly recommend this series and book, just the agonising wait for next book sometime this year now

The Mephisto Mark is a fast, compelling novel about soul mates. It is the third book in a series, however they do not need to be read together. I certainly enjoyed this book, and I had not read the other two. However, I love books about true love, so I pretty much knew I would like this one from the moment I picked it up. Both of the characters are likeable- the girl isn't whiny or spoiled, and the guy is confident and bold, which makes it easy to cheer them on to happiness. The female character does have a history of being sexually abused, so the plot is rather dark in many places- and definitely not for kids. But it's also nice to be able to watch her overcome her past and learn to love again, so I felt that the dark plot was strangely beautiful.

Loved this one- it's definitely worth a read!

While the old publishing company might have thought this series was not worth going forward with, they were wrong. The story is one of healing and learning to trust. This book made me cry it was so touching. I am so happy that Trinity decide to publish this story on her own and I can not wait to read the next one in March!!!!
