Not my favorite. Things were just too neatly interconnected and tied up a little too perfectly. This gave me 1990s grocery store check out paperback vibes. However, it was fast paced, easy to read and for that... Still enjoyable.
I have now read on audio to Mary Higgins Clark books back to back and I definitely need a break. I will pick up more of her titles in the future but certainly cannot read them in quick succession.

I only read this book for the memories of Grandma and I reading though all of her books on the shelf at the library together. They are predictable, and every book has something "that has never happened before" but it was still enjoyable. I was tempted to go to the computer and add it to the spreadsheet, with her classic rating system

This story follows multiple characters throughout - an ambitious newscaster following a murder trial, a married couple helping a friend find her birth mother, and a woman on trial, faced with being charged for her husband’s gruesome and untimely death.
I’ve heard great things about MHC novels, but this one did not do it for me. It seemed like every twist was given away early, and it wasn’t suspenseful so much as time-filling. I’m eager to keep looking for her suspenseful titles, but so far I’m not terribly impressed.

Well this was neither suspenseful or thrilling, I can tell you that much. The best thing I can say about this book is that it was a ridiculously easy read so it goes by quickly. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who isn't supremely bored.

I was a little disappointed with this book. I usually really enjoy Mary Higgins Clark's book but I found this one to be rather predictable. I did like the characters but again it just seemed really predictable, usually her books have me guessing.

I vaguely feel this books is "suspense" with a question mark. It's not really a mystery per se and it's definitely not a thriller. Most of it can be figured out relatively quickly and there are no surprises. So it was an okay read, I guess. Nothing amazing.
