Very funny in some parts, others aggravating. I kind of wanted to tell her sometimes "can you please get your act together?" Yet, I could relate to some of the problems and situations she was placed in. Overall, a very easy read and something light and enjoyable.

“I will not sulk about having no boyfriend, but develop inner poise and authority and sense of self as woman of substance, complete without boyfriend, as best way to obtain boyfriend.”

I've of course known (and loved) the Bridget Jones movies for years, but I've never actually read it. It was just what I expected and wanted, hilarious and chaotic. No great plot or groundbreaking characters, but it was great fun and very relatable, so if you're looking for the ultimate chick-flick feeling in a book, this one's for you!

I just love that character Bridget swoons over Colin Firth as Pride & Prejudice Mr Darcy, only for Colin Firth to play character Mark Darcy in the film adaptation. If that isn’t author goals, idk what it is.

V amusing and v escapist, reading the next one immediately.
