This wasn't as good as the first one but will continue on with the next one. Hopefully I'll enjoy it more

I feel really crap about this... but this was a DNF for me. Read up until the beginning of Chapter 9... where we finally met Alexia.
Didn't get this, couldn't empathise with any of the characters... it probably would've been better to have bridged it from book 1 ( which I liked ) rather than introducing a weird trio. Sadly, the 3 men came across as incredibly immature... which, considering their chosen professions, was a little shocking.
The language was a little stilted and formal... not what one would expect within a friend ensemble. Sighs.
