I could not get into this book until the last couple of chapters. I thought I would love this but overall I could leave it.

My god, I'm glad I skipped over the Translator's Note at the start when I began reading this. That really should've been slotted in at the end... Anyway, the book itself was quite a nice read, and after I was a tad bit confused at the ending, the earlier TN cleared it all up for me. Really neat stuff, being along for the mysterious ride with our salaryman narrator, not entirely sure what's happening--that's the kind of viewpoint I like.

I think the way De Maria portrayed social media, years before social media started to exist, was extremely well done. I would've rated this higher, but I am a very character driven type of reader. This book was more about the atmosphere than characters / plot. That atmosphere, though? Wonderful.
