Surprisingly the best issue in the Aquaman franchise comes to DC Rebirth at the sacrifice of ... Well The titular character himself .

With absolutely no Aquaman shown on this issue , the issue focuses on Mera's trial amonst the sisterhood of widows (or something like that) , the Game of thrones-esque-crones have a member with 3-D holographic Psychic ability *, Who shows Mera and her crone buddies a future where Mera is married to Arthur and Arthur passes away which leads to Mera going all Pheonix-from-X-men and destroying the whole planet .

* Dope technology , Gal

This leads Mera to consider her options and wonder whether marrying Arthur is the right course of action , while trying to decide she learns about the presence of N.E.M.O and that maybe Arthur is dead.

So basically a lot of shit happens in a story that lasted 25 pages , has no Aquaman in any page , sets stage for a possible devastating future and made me think , that maybe from here on all Aquaman comics should focus on Mera and not have Aquaman at all ...

... I'm Just Saying

Bloody good show.

This comic hit me on all the rights spots. Can't wait for the "The Deluge" event!
