WHEW! This book was addicting and a quick read. The author did a great job creating a tantalizing summary for the book that hooked me instantly. It has everything a great spicy romance should have. Enemies to lovers and opposites attract tropes? Check! Witty humor and great interplay between MC and love interest? Check! An interesting setting? Check! Plenty of plot twists to keep you guessing what will happen next? Double check! Honestly, if they created a TV show like this plot IRL, I’d be hooked in seconds!

Some of my favorite things about this book were the styling choices of the characters. MC is described as curvy, with Hispanic background, and alternative (tattoos and piercings). Her don’t-give-a-fuck attitude is also refreshing than the typical damsel in distress. She can 100% hold her own. This is great contrast to the love interest. He’s tall, muscular, what you would consider all-American boy who came from a wealthy family. However, his love for philanthropy and animals, along with his distain for the elitist lifestyle he grew up in, make him more approachable as a character.

On the level of spice, I would give it abut 2 out of 5 spicy peppers. It’s revealing enough to get your mind in the gutter, but not so dirty that you feel guilty for reading it in public. Of course, everyone’s version of spice is different, so make your reading decision based on what you are comfortable with (there are no major TW I can think of).
