Even as a lifelong Wolvie fan, 3 stars is a pretty high rating for a book with him as the sole central character. I'll go ahead and bump it up a star because Logan is such a difficult character to write an interesting story around that hasn't been told too many times already. The best Wolverine stories are usually about how he, as a curmudgeonly, grumpy killer and loner plays off of other, lighter characters. Lemire manages to make him grim and alone but still compelling.

Reminds me of a good Punisher story, but not as good? Not sure if I'll keep reading or not.

4.5 stars. Great continuation of the Old Man Logan story introducing him to the modern day Marvel universe. I ish I had gotten to see him get a little more stabby in the present day before he was convinced to just be a good guy again, but what are ya gonna do?

Logan is an old man. Where once he was a savage beast, now he uses his wisdom to defeat his enemies.

"Y'know, this shopping center where we're fighting, this used to be Toddy's! They had really good donuts. Chocolate Fried Cinnamon was best for the money, but the Chocolate Raised was really good, so sometimes I got the raised, sometimes the fried cinnamon. You know, depending. Now, they had a little deli where you could get a nice sandwich..."

That's right, youthful enemies can't STAND his lengthy discussions of what used to be where when and what's there now.
