2.5 I loved the stories from her childhood and did laugh out loud more than once, the book had some really great moments, but overall I felt like the writer was trying too hard to prove that she is weird and awkward and ended up as a result rambling and taking tangents to the point of being unreadable. I can see why people really like Lawson, but this style of writing is not for me.

Jenny is a hilarious author and blogger. I actually read her second book first and liked that one better, but it was great for listening to on audiobook and I definitely laughed out loud.

I didn't really like this the first time I tried it, but this time it was great. My review is here.

It was an ok read, but felt a bit too ramble-y at times. Skipped over some of the taxidermy stuff, of which there's a fair amount mentioned.

Her humor is not for me. She has the occasional funny note, anecdote, or joke, but she is also wildly neurotic and very difficult to take in larger doses. She just isn’t for me.
