  • so there was a lot about this book that i just could not get myself to like
  • first was the mafia-gang-type-shit that the theme revolved around, it just felt very angsty-teen-trying-to-be-edgy rather than realistic
  • Alexis was the kind of omega i hate, who pretends to be all fierce and independent but the moment she is around a BigStrongMan just becomes a shell that is reliant upon them
  • her ex-lover KIDNAPPING HER and DRUGGING HER to be with her again was not at ALL ROMANTIC in my opinion, that's just fucked up 😀
  • along with that, the insta-love was gag-worthy, like girl you were just KIDNAPPED stop being HORNY DAMNIT
  • i honestly can't figure out much that i liked about this, the politics were lazy-feeling, the characterization was mid at best, and i did not care about the conflict that did exist
  • i think this type of read definitely falls closer to fanfiction on Wattpad than any published book lol

Arming Alexis is a wonderful addition to the Omega Syndicate series. There are some familiar tropes here, second chances, stalkerish vibes and a Daddy Dom. Throw in some knotting, a whole lot of angst and a fiesty Omega and it is a total recipe for success! Great story, with intrigue and drama as well as a finding her place vibe.

This is listed as the fifth book in the series, but it was the only one I have read/listened to. I didn't have a problem following along, but it seems like some of these characters may have been introduced previously. There seems to be a lot going on compared to the length of the book. It's definitely on the shorter side of omegaverse books I've read, but it still has all the fun, sexy group scenes and commentary on alpha-omega power dynamics. I liked the addition of the hacker group that was helping the omegas. I just wish this had been longer in order to fully explore everything.

Narration: Two of the three narrators were new to me and I would listen to them again. However, I was a little confused about the amount of narrators vs the amount of POVs.

Arming Alexis is the fifth book in the Underground Omega Syndicate shared universe series.

Honestly, if you haven't already started this series, I highly recommend that you do! Arming Alexis is a fantastic addition!

(No bias here) Alexis is a strong, independent, and absolutely incredible FMC! I guess, you would call her a "modern day Robin Hood". The hot Alphas, were just

Arming Alexis by Jenn D. Young is a why choose omegaverse romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Logan Anare, Matt Haynes, and Elle Sonali. This is the fifth book in the Underground Omega Syndicate series but can be read as a standalone.

I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Alexis, Miko, Antonio, and Cormac. I liked that we got all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Logan, Matt, and Elle did a great job on the narration. They all really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for an omegaverse romance, why choose romance, or romantic suspense.

Arming Alexis by Jenn D. Young is book five in the Underground Omega Syndicate Series. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and what a ride it was. Holy smokes! This book has bondage, BDSM, Dom themes…etc. I would check your trigger warnings to be on the safe side. But this book was one heck of a good read, I couldn’t put my kindle down. I read the entire book in one sitting. The book had great world building and the descriptions were on point that you could clearly imagine everything as you read. The characters were interesting and had such great development. The plot was great and had some kick butt action. The spicy scenes were very well done and were fire. The chemistry leapt off the page. The story just when I thought I knew what was coming always had a surprise one way or another. What I really enjoyed was the low key play of a Robin Hood story…. the main character Lexi steals from the rich and gives it to the poor omega organizations around the world. I absolutely loved everything about this book!

I love this shared world, and I loved this installment of it. I love how sassy and smart Alexis is. I love when the big bag mafia guys turn into big teddy bears for their woman! The spice is hot, but there are some triggers to beware of.
