Get to the pointtttt. So much time spent on the same stuff over and over - took her forever to come to the conclusions that the ascended are actually bad, Casteel is good, he loves her etc.

You really don't want to put it down, there is so much to uncover and so many mysteries to solve. Can't wait to read the next book.

I love this book!!

So a lot of things changed in this book. It's like a major plot twist in the story. A lot of secrets are unveiled. And there is a lot of drama and love.

The story begins with Cas telling Penellaphe (poppy) about they are getting married. Poppy gets to meet a lot of new people. Cal and Poppy's love strengthens as Poppy's trust in Cal.

Some new characters were introduced such as
♦Alastir, who seemed nice but I still doubt he has a secret side to his character.
♦Shea(deceased), who was just mentioned in the story, but we got to know her and Cal's story.
♦‎Kieran is one of the best secondary characters ever. His deep bond with Casteel is amazing and his shy and budding friendship with Poppy makes me want to see more of him in the next book.
♦I wish to see more roles of Naill and Delano
♦I thought Duchess Teerman was better than what she had shown in this story. But she gave some really interesting information. Poppy being Queen's Granddaughter?

Poppy got to know about her abilities and that she might be a part of elemental bloodlines. There is resistance to Poppy among the people of Atlantia.
Ascended attacks gave good character development to Poppy, the brave Poppy which we didn't get to see in the first book. We can see it in this book. There were new more beautiful places were introduced like Spessa's End and Skotos Mountains. Poppy and Cal got married and then headed to meet Cal's parents.

And that's where we are left with cliffhangers, which you have to read on your own.

This book doesn't focus on just a place or some people. This book introduced a lot of people, places, and mysteries. I love this book from the series.
However, I feel the chapters are long and sometimes can become boring to read. But all in all the book is very interesting.

Trigger warnings: violence, murder, and mention of cannibalism

Reasons to read:
>Strong main character
>Awesome love interest
>Amazing secondary characters
>love - hate and a lot of angst
>Funny and witty banter
>Action
>Pace and plot
> AND LOTS OF SECRETS

First: WHAT THE ABSOLUTE F***!??
Second: OMFG!!! That was amazing!!!!
The world building, the angst, the plot!!!
I fell even harder for Hawke… Poppy just become more of a bad***. And that was some amazing stuff! I loved it so much, it was better than the first. But I am now like Poppy and have SOOOO many questions!
