A Dre essays rubbed me the wrong way, ignoring colonialism as the root cause of environmental degradation. But! The other stories and essays made up for the flops.
Lessons learned
- pay attention to Oceania. There are fertile grounds for environmental justice in their island of nations
- love gets us through the devastation of climate catastrophe
-and we must grieve.
-grief allows for the next move, for passion, for action
-but first we. Must. Grieve.
-and to grieve we must lean on relationships.
- it’s not too late to make a difference! As long as I am alive, it will never be too late for me to take action.

This was excellent bedtime reading. Inspiring, hopeful, comforting, motivating essays from activists. I  read these essays nights when I needed a dose of hope. I highly recommend to anyone doing climate work.
