2024 March Reading Challenge
Prompt: read a book that starts with H-A-P-P-Y

Possible Spoilers Ahead!

This is a novel about grief and denial. Of having to confront reality and never fully prepared to do so. How something can be beautiful and forever only to be painfully and forcefully snatched away in an instant. This novel is heartbreakingly painful without being preachy or judgmental, at times a warm hug or a reminder of life's many hardships. Woodson is a masterful writer and has more than deserved standing shoulder to shoulder with the best. This book was a painful read, but an incredible one as well.

This is a novel with poetry, short story, and YA in its DNA, and weaves it together beautifully. It'll mosey along beside you, and then stab you from the side. Bonus: has a good reader, and makes a good audiobook.
