the suspense writing in this book was 11/10!! the whole book I knew something was going to happen, but didn’t know what/when.

getting 4 stars because I hated the romance subplot like felt very unnecessary and not the vibe. also wasn’t always a fan of the narrators voice and thoughts.

Holly shit!! That was a total mind F***!!

A struggling writer is hired by the husband of a bestselling author Verity to finish writing a series that his injured wife started but cannot finish. While conducting research to finish the series, Lowen finds a manuscript for Verity's autobiography, which was never intended for others to read. Lowen keeps the manuscript from Jeremy knowing its contents would further upset the grieving father, but as their feelings for one another increase, it could be beneficial for her to share the manuscript with him.

Wow! From the very beginning this book held my attention, the story had me turning page after page, I didn't want to put it down. When the book focused on the autobiography sections, I went through a variety of emotions, happiness, sadness, outrage, anger, disbelief, etc. They were very graphic and twisted in many ways. When I finished the book I was emotionally worn out and just sat there staring out trying to wrap my head around everything I had just read. I thought each character was written well and helped to further the plot, including Jeremy's 5 year old son, Crew.

I am an adventurous reader and wasn't deterred by the darker topics it covered, but individuals that are sensitive to the use of graphic sex and the topics of abortion, child abuse, and murder should proceed with caution. I did find some of the material to be difficult to read because of the graphic descriptions, but it held my attention in a firm grip.

A perfect read for individuals that enjoy a good thriller with a little bit of romance thrown in. As I mentioned it does contain graphic imagery and covers some sensitive topics.

I am not sure how to feel after reading this. It was a definitely a roller coaster. It kept my attention all throughout the book. There were no lulls in the story, I could not put this book down.

Oh. My. God.

This book pulled me in FAST. I made the mistake of starting it at 2am and when 5 rolled around I needed to make the decision to put it down. I think I finally did around 5:30. I woke up 3 hours later with my daughter and finished this book. I literally read it in a 12 hour span. I haven't been that engrossed in a book for quite a while!

It was THAT good.

It's definitely sexually graphic so if you're not ok with that, you won't like it. But the storyline is great and the twists are amazing and unexpected! It has a little creepy factor to it, which isn't my favorite with books, but I dug it in this one.

Highly recommended read!
