Probably the best Fable volume in the series.

As always with this series, well written, strong characterization, and lots of unexpected twists.

Its darker than usual, it is sad and disturbing. But still is moving and well written. Nothing had happened for quite sometime so this is a turning point and a remainder that vertigo is not for kids.

The fact that I'm on volume 18 of the Fables series should be a pretty good indication of my commitment to and my love for this series. Everyone should read Fables. Seriously.

Cubs in Toyland is another strong outing, with some truly creepy and sad moments. My only complaint (hence four rather than five stars) is that the main focus of the story arc is Snow and Bigby's cubs, which I expected from the title -- but I still missed spending time with the other characters whom I've come to know and love over the course of the series. That said, I was thrilled to get this latest installment in the Fables series, and only wish that it were longer.

Oh man. This one was dark. Much darker than Annalise's comfort zone. Creepy and painful and with some sad sacrifice in there, really really engaging stuff.

These issues really stepped up the game in a slightly lagging storyline. Poor Therese. The artwork in the The Destiny Game chapters was amazing, especially the wolf features.

Even this far in, it subverts my expectations.

The darkest volume so far and really depressing. But wonderful, as every volume of Fables. I just wish something happy would happen sometimes.
