This was a perfect short story to start out the Series. I really wish I knew more about Lydia though. Very excited to continue with the rest of the series.

This was a prequel to Rachel's new series called Soul Screamers. This was originally released on her website for free. It is a very short story which in essence brings up more questions than it answers. Which leaves you wanting more (obviously the point but still). This is a good taster of what will follow in the rest of the series.

I decided to start reading these series after seeing the big hype it caused on the net, and constant good reviews If I Die got.

It was so good from the beginning, reading this book kinda of prepares you to what's coming in the the sequel, it has mystery and a bit of horror but mostly it's really good written :)

It's somehow close to The Body Finder in concept but it's much better.

My Soul to Lose is the first novella in the Soul Screamers series, and it gives us a bit of background information on Kaylee, and what we can expect from her. Reading My Soul to Lose I did feel sorry for Kaylee and what she goes through, but I also think it was essential for her guardians to see the effects of what can happen by leaving Kaylee where she was.

My Soul to Lose also introduces us to a face we see later on in the series, who plays a very important role in the series itself.
