God, I was worried I needed to go back and reread the series before coming to this epilogue. (Or more accurately, collection of epilogues.) You don't, though. E.K. Weaver has such a knack for intimate human storytelling that you almost don't need the entire previous graphic novel at all to immediately be drawn into these bittersweet snapshots of the characters' lives. Not to mention the impossibly good visual storytelling and dialogue that carries over from the main comic. This gave me what the kids refer to as "shrimp emotions" in a whopping 44 pages.
