An absolute joy, a treat! Lisa McGee is the funniest person on Earth. Granda Joe’s review of Sleeping With The Enemy - ROGER EBERT WHO?! Orla getting a Knicks shirt cos she’d seen an episode of Seinfeld where they go to the basketball - incredibly me behaviour. I love these characters and I miss them and I love spending any time with them in any way I can. Thank you life, thank you love!

How do I even rate this?
I mean, I enjoyed it so much, I read it in 1,5h without putting it down which... idk when I last did that with a book, and it gave me all the Derry Girls feels and it felt so authentic and Erin is honestly such a mood but at the same time... it doesn't feel like a five star? Like, my enjoyment was very much related to my enjoyment of the tv-show, and it's not a book I'll look back at as a favorite (but that's because in my brain it's part of the tv-series so it's already sorted as favorite tv-series it can't be favorite book too)

Yeah, to sum it up, if you enjoyed and miss Derry Girls this is worth reading. If you haven't watched Derry Girls you should go do that

Essentially just a re-hash of the TV show.

This was so fun! The storyline wasn't anything incredibly new, obviously (except for a few things we didn't see in the show), but Erin's voice shines through so well. I can hear her saying every word. I also loved the addition of letters, lists, grades, etc.

You know when you just want a book that's not hard to read, doesn't require much brain power (with all due respect to the author) and you know that you're not going to get any nasty shock or read anything that might upset you?

This is one of those books.

It's very lighthearted, it stays true to the spirit of the Derry Girls (as it would, being written by show creator Lisa McGee) and you will more than likely, like myself, read the entire thing in one sitting while hearing Erin Quinn's voice in your head.

It's fun, it's light, it's Derry Girls. What's not to like?

I mean, obviously, if you don't like the show I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole but if you are a fan then it's a very sweet addition to the series and reminded me of the Friends books that used to be released when they did a special.

Thank you to the publisher for sending me a copy.
