Anna Boyd's interaction with the crime boss and his collegues comes to an end in this novel. No longer part of the Witness Protection Program, Anna has only her family and friends to protect her. The bad guys are back to coming after Anna and all she loves, there is a mole in the FBI, and nowhere is safe. Will Anna survive meeting with her pursuers again? Who can she trust, really?

It was a good continuation of the first novel. In fact, I think I liked this novel better than the first.

I really enjoyed this! (And by "this", I really mean, "Ethan".) Fast-paced, action packed and full of swoon, The Rules For Breaking is the perfect end to Anna's story. The twists and turns kept me reading well into the night and the part involving the car ride with Emma CRACKED ME UP! Probably because I would be the adult version of her, but still.

I wish the Epilogue had been (all about Ethan Landry) a little longer but I was happy with how everything was brought full circle and worked out!

What a ride! Anna, Teeny, and Ethan are kidnapped and Anna feels she is the only one to be able to save them…She does have that (sometimes irritating) tenacity and believes that she has to be the one to save the day, but it really pulled me in and kept me flipping pages. Anna is not the girl to give up and go with the flow. She’s tired of running and wants to get back to a normal life, and I don’t blame her, but she doesn’t know when to stop. I think she would have been killed in real life, but book-Anna continues to evade and refuses to lie down and become a victim. Good for her. Also, though there was one thing I figured out, most of it was very unpredictable and unexpected. I really enjoyed this one, especially all the Louisiana stuff. What a great ending to the series (it is the end right?).

The angst soon begins in The Rules for Breaking when Thomas kidnaps Anna, Ethan, and Teeny, but the story isn't as gripping as you would expect. There are some interesting reveals, but I liked Anna less in this one because she kept withholding critical information from Ethan.

Well, that was a bummer. I absolutely loved The Rules for Disappearing. This was totally off the mark for me. I never got into the story and didn't even really care about trying to keep characters or plots straight.

This book jumped right into the action! Good follow up to The Rules for Disappearing, everything came together at the end. I totally called Agent Parker being the mole!

A reasonably quick-paced thriller. I could have used some more character development (all of the relationships seemed a little flimsy) but then again, I didn't read the first in the series (The Rules for Disappearing) so maybe I'm not the best judge.
