It's a short story and yes it ends exactly as you expect.

The writing style wasn't particularly good. The story had some potential just from the sheer preposterousness of each date the heroine goes on. It just always seemed to fall flat of being truly entertaining.

Internet dating is the current big thing to have an unmarried character delve into whether on tv, in movies or novels. Due to the prevalence of internet dating, any book (novella in this case) using it as a major plot point really needs to strive to be unique.

Worst Date Ever unfortunately hasn’t done much to be unique except for perhaps the last date. Now, if the last date had actually been the second date and Jennie had several dates with him, perhaps this novella could have risen above average, but it didn’t.

This book was laugh out loud funny. I loved reading it. It is really short and the prose are very simple. I would recommend this book to just about any one.

Your typical chick lit with predictable ending but an easy little listen.

Read more like an essay. Finished in maybe 30 minutes. Very predictable read, nothing all that original

The writing was incredibly simplistic. MC was a little naïve and annoying. I cannot believe that this author was billed as “Canada’s Queen of Comedy.” Maybe her crime books are funnier, but this one just wasn’t.

An easy read if you need a quick palate cleanser between heavier reads, but not much beyond that.
