I didn’t know what to expect with this book, but even though it tackled numerous darker subjects, it still left you feeling hopeful and not alone in this crazy world.

What a stunning book. The writing is spectacular, the mysteries unravel perfectly, and I loved LOVED the whole thing.

I went into this book knowing zero things about it, which I am happy about. I really think the first 2/3rds where really well done. Then, we got to the end. I think the ending, for me, was just a bit rushed. It felt like all the secrets were revealed and then everyone was having emotions for like five pages, and then everyone lived happily ever after. I really liked this one, but the ending dropped it a star for me.

(See below for trigger warnings)
I’m so glad Leesa Cross-Smith balances out the heavy content with a cozy atmosphere. The idea of what can happen when two people randomly meet is very interesting too.
Cozy things include: Autumn, candles, cats, pasta, warm fuzzy afghans, wine, rainy days, etc.
Trigger warnings include: suicide, suicidal ideation, young child death, infertility

i'm sure this book is for someone but i'm not sure who. it was not insightful, interesting or memorable. the only memorable thing about it was how awful of a therapist representation it was. it was so unethical.

Really more like a 4.5, this book was so different and heart breaking yet dear and overwhelming. I may need to just sit and savor it for a minute.

3.5 - some of this was a bit unbelievable and I definitely questioned the main characters decision making. The ending was also was bit unfinished in my opinion

I really enjoyed the interaction between the main characters. It dragged for me a little in the middle but I loved that the end was not what was expected. It really shows how someone can come into your life and make a huge impact in a positive way. I loved how they helped each other even though it seemed as if only one really needed to be helped.
