I received a copy of Shy Robin and the First Day of School by Jaime Kim from Candlewick Press in exchange for an honest review.

Robin can be loud, funny, and full of energy at home. But once she is out in the world, she feels shy and uncertain. When it's time for her first day of school, she's worried but soon finds that another classmate seems to be just as shy and quiet as her. If not more. Marco, the otter, intrigues Robin and when the opportunity arises, she is able to find her courage and bravery to approach Marco and make a new friend. Together, these two quiet and brave young students will find a way to connect with their new classmates.

What a beautiful story for young children as they start school. This one felt like a beautiful note to the children who may feel shy, uncertain, and worried about entering a new space with new people.
