It's weird how this year's Hugos seem to be a mix of stories that advocate destroying your oppressors, and stories that advocate a "third faction" approach to two party conflict. This is definitely a story that falls in that first camp... Call it a personal failing, but I just don't like these kinds of pro-annihilation stories.

OOF. I loved this one as well. I somehow wish it was longer while simultaneously knowing it was exactly what it was meant to be.
Everything Rivers writes opens something inside me - this did too, in only a few pages.
