Came for the Stuck in Love reference, left with heartbreak and the lingering line “did dad expect me to stop growing just because he hadn’t been around?”

I read this in school. I would sit down and force myself to read it! It was really really boring (I thought, you might have a different opinion though!)

We read this as part of a third grade project. Again, I always like books with letters and notes in them.

Another one I should have read as a kid. Cleary really nails what it feels like to be a child of divorced parents. I almost cried!
