MASSIVE letdown — reading this was actual torture — What the hell was that reunion scene??? — the final battle — the way Bryce treated hunt once he escaped the dungeon, the way she treated her so called allies, she was just really dismissive and bitchy — Ruhn shooting lidia and her getting over it in a heartbeat because he was good with her boys for all of 10 seconds — Tharrion & ithan page fillers — too many pov’s — anticlimactic — so many opportunities were missed — didn’t like Bryce in this book, there were hints of her in there but for the most part I was like wtf happened to Bryce? — Lidia’s character arc was great — where to was fury? — the parasite seemed like a rushed idea — the angel mechs completely ruined the final battle scene,  ring the angels back yes, loved that, but the mech suits were just ridiculous, give the angels bodies of flame, lightning, literally any of the elements but those damn mech suits took it from an attempted epic fantasy battle to a weird and rushed sci-fi flop.

First 450-500 pages were well paced then it was soooo rushed and poorly done. Many clarifications needed.

This is more like 2.5 ⭐️ and I’m being generous by rounding up.

The ending of this was decent but basically all of the characters became insufferable in this book and I had to power through 500 pages of boring events for about 7% of the remaining part of the book to be goodish.
