Clearly a sequel series has been set up and now I need that series!! This was an amazing conclusion to the trilogy and I'm loving how Rachel rocked her part! Jason, too, of course, but Rachel just killed it for me! Ferrin almost made me cry, but i had faith in him!

So much happens in this book that I can't break it down & I'm also not sure how so much happened

I can't believe it's over! It took me over a year to read this trilogy, and, boy, am I glad I finished it! The characters spark your interest and are so engaging, the plot is so intense and the writing is incredible... I just wish there was more!

Too many of the main characters were killed off, moved too slow in some places and then too fast in others. Was an unsatisfying conclusion to an otherwise enjoyable series.

Best of the triology. The writing got a bit better and less juvenile (although it is a kids book). The story was fun and towards the end Mull did a good job of getting you emotionally attached to the characters. Perfect for 8-12 but older than that are going to tire of the simplicity. 10 year old son who reads voraciously like it, didn't love it.

Fantastic series.
An 8th grade boy whose opinion I value and respect mentioned this book every time he came into the library. We had both read the others in the series, but he got to this one first. "You've got to read this!" he said for the fourth time as he put it into my hand.
Well, he was so right.
This is the kind of series it's hard to let go. I find myself planning how the characters will continue after the author has let them go. It feels like the end of Harry Potter when you see the characters all grown up and sending their own children off to school. Bittersweet.
So, thank you Brandon Mull for creating this series and as a result, the types of conversations between generations of readers who get so excited they force books on each other!

It's always a good feeling when the last book in a series is your favorite. I loved this one. As it normally goes with books like this, where there are different storylines, I was way more interested in some than others (Ferrin is the most interesting character, but I thought Jason's quest was way more exciting).

Overall, I was intrigued til the end (even with the storylines that I wasn't *as* interested in) and I would even be interested in reading more books in this series, if any were ever written. It's left so open that it seems like a possibility. Pretty much all of the characters I liked best died, though, so that's a bummer, but the world is enough to keep me reading.

“All my love forever, Jason”

I’m sobbing!! This series has been nothing like I expected. The themes of personal sacrifice, perseverance, faith, and grief are exceptional painful but so important!!

This book is an amazing wrap up to the series, everything that Brandon Mull has ever hinted at is used and used well to complete the story in a satisfying way.

The parts that made me cry the most was Drake’s death because I wasn’t expecting anyone to die that early and when Jason was reading the prophecy. For Darian to soothe every fear about whether or not Jason was supposed to be there just turned me into a puddle.
