Let's face it, I'd read Jamie and Claire's grocery list--and love it--if only Gabaldon would write it.
I think this is the Jamie and Claire novel some of us have been longing for.
My one complaint is that the Brianna and Roger storyline feels tacked on, rickrack on the edge of the garment and not a part of the main piece. And as a trim, there are some gaping holes that no, you can't fill in with the next book, they needed to be addressed when they happened.
But I already can't wait to read it again. Jamie. Sigh.

This one took me a bit longer to get through than the others mostly because I was savouring the experience. I think Gabaldon does a great job hear of balancing the events of Brianna and Rodger in the Future with Claire and Jaime in the past. The pacing was excellent and I never got bored at any point like I’m wont to do with bigger novels like this. I also loved all of the action and danger in this book set against the revolutionary war. It felt like a callback to her earlier books during the Rising. The ending was a perfect place to stop as well. It made my heart soar and left a smile on my face when I shut the book. Overall, I think this was one of my favourites out of the series. A great read.

Finally getting thru this series. One more book and then I’m finally done! Until the next one comes out anyways.
I’m just getting a little bored. Don’t get me wrong I love this series still. But I love Jamie and Claire so much, and the story is veering more towards Brianna/Rodger/Jemmy. I love them too, but no one can replace Jamie and Claire in my heart. Lol.
