My Review:

Oh, how I just love this series! Jordan has created a cast of characters I can get enough of and swoony guys I just can’t help but fall for.

Jordan really pulled me into this world she has created. I enjoyed watching each character grow and overcome the challenges they faced. I liked how the story unfolded and the conflicts they had to overcome. The building of the story kept me enthralled and the growth of the characters were very noticeable and well-written. And I can’t forget the smexy scenes. Oh! They were quite smexy!

I also felt like I connected to this story more than I did the first one. I think that is why I enjoyed it a bit more than the first book. I connected with Emerson and Shaw; I felt for them emotionally and I could also feel their emotions when reading. The development between the two just enthralled me. I loved that Shaw saw Emerson and though she fought him, he never really gave up on her. Emerson also found the courage to move on from her past and I enjoyed that so much about her.

I loved watching the pull between Shaw and Emerson as well. I loved how they fought their attraction, yet couldn't escape it. It made the book intense and toe-curling good! I found they had a great chemistry. I just loved both characters so much!

I thoroughly enjoyed Tease. It was a fun, sexy, and quick read. I loved getting to know Emerson and Shaw. The story played out well and the characters pulled me in.

This book was amazing. I loved Shaw and Emerson's story. Shaw brought the life back into Emerson and he thought her not be scared to love.

This book was really amazing and entertaining. It’s nothing what I expectant it would be. The first book Foreplay was really amazing and I loved every moment of it and now we get to know Emerson even better now.

Unlike normal New Adult books with rich girls I did not find Emerson annoying like normal rich girls. I actually liked her and she was not bratty either and she did not make people feel less superior. She is a good friend. The reasons why she was like that know as Emerson the tease was quite obvious why she acted like that and Shaw saw right through her act. She was independent and she really did not like to depend of anyone.

Shaw was smoking sexy hot guy who saw through her act. He also was sweet and confident. Sophie Jordan knows just how to write her male characters in the books, he persuaded Emerson just enough and he knew when to back off. There relationship was sweet and loving and it worked so well. They cared about each other even if Emerson denied him 85% of the book.

I really did wish there was a bit more information of the relationship between Emerson and her Mom, but I still loved this book and it was very well written.

Now I cant wait for the final book, Wild. Georgia and Logan finally!

"I don't know what it is you do to me." I do something to him?
His voice continued, a dark little whisper rushing over my lips. "But I'm not going to fight it anymore."
As his warm mouth came down on mine, a jolt that felt Ite electricity shot through me. Along with that, a thousand thoughts chased through me as his lips pressed to mine, softer and more persuasive than I would have imagined possible from this hard-looking guy.
I could just step back. I could say one word. No. I could turn and walk back into the bar. He wouldn't stop me. Not this time.
Iknew that.
All of these options presented themselves to me in a single fash, but I took the only option I could. The only one there was.
I kissed him back.

Nurse my anger so that I didn't let him weave another spell around me again.
He faced me. "I should have known better than to get involved with some spoiled little princess."
I flinched before reminding myself that this was for the best. Let him think that. Then maybe whatever this thing was between us would just die. I inhaled thinly through my nose and tried to ignore the sudden ache in my chest that that thought ignited.
I need to stand my ground. Let him think whatever bad thing he wanted to about me. Because I couldnt handle another repeat of what just happened between us and still keep
my disance. At least emotionally. The last thing I needed was to fall for a guy like him. For God's sake, he was a Marine. Na exactly an easy-to-manipulate kind of guy.

I felt like everything in my life had been leading to this this moment, where I finally really released Control . When I finally trusted someone else. When I let Shaw in.

Shaw leaned down and pressed a lingering kiss to my mouth. "And I love her."
Glasses clinked as we all toasted. I looked from my friends to Shaw and exhaled a shaky breath, giddy butterflies fluttering through me. Life was good.
Shaw took my hand, his fingers lacing with mine. "Happy?" he asked.
I smiled, my chest swelling with emotion. "More than I ever thought possible."
He kissed me, murmuring against my lips, "Get used to it. This is only the beginning."

This one really had all the feels and the intense chemistry between the characters. I loved the storyline in this book and it was full of drama, action and betrayal. Definitely recommend.

Foreplay, the first book in Sophie Jordan’s new adult series, was fabulous. I adored it and by the end of the book I was dying for more from the series. I requested Tease as soon as possible and dropped everything to read it once I was approved. While I enjoyed it, it didn’t compare to Foreplay.

Tease features one character that readers will remember from Foreplay, Pepper’s kind of slutty friend Emerson. Emerson has been burned by guys before and so she doesn’t let them get close now. She is more than happy to sleep with someone but she won’t get attached. Of course that changes when she meets Shaw. Shaw is unlike any guy she’s met before and she is immediately attracted to him even though she knows that she should not let him get close to her. Shaw is a bad boy through and through. He works as a mechanic and he rides motorcycles and dreams of having his own motorcycle shop where he can build custom bikes. He’s not the type of guy that Emerson is normally attracted to but they keep running into each other and sparks fly.

The story is totally cliche. I think that was my biggest issue with Tease. Emerson had a rather horrific incident in her past with someone she should have been able to trust and she stopped trusting everyone after that. Of course that changes when some bad boy mystery guy enters her life and she can’t get him off of her mind. I’m not saying that readers won’t enjoy this story, I’m just saying that readers should expect something that’s been done in books many times before (especially in new adult.)

Emerson and Shaw had some serious chemistry and I applaud Sophie Jordan for always making her characters relationships so intense both physically and emotionally. I was definitely rooting for Emerson and Shaw’s relationship to work out. They were good together but they also had some very big flaws to work past. Sometimes it felt like their relationship was a little doomed but I enjoyed seeing how things were going to play out.

Overall, Tease was a mediocre followup to Foreplay. I just couldn’t love the characters as much as I did with Pepper and Reece (who I was happy to see in Tease for a few cameos.) If you enjoyed the first book, definitely check this one out though.

Probably a 3.75
This book was free on Amazon so I grabbed it on a whim. Didn't even think to look which book it was in the series so I suppose I should go back and read the first one.

If you haven't read Sophie Jordan's first book in this series FOREPLAY, read it first! I loved this book. Foreplay was pure enjoyment that made you feel like you were in college again plus it was filled with tons of sexiness, swoon worthy bartender, and a girl we can all identify with in some manner. Sophie Jordan didn’t surpoass FOREPLAY with TEASE but it was definitely a good read. TEASE follows Emerson, who we meet in FOREPLAY and Pepper's best friend. Emerson is a flirt, a tease, the good time girl. She has created her less than stellar reputation on purpose, it allows her to maintain control. Emerson's past haunts her and she needs control. Control makes her feel strong.

Enter Shaw....and man, is he yummy on a stick. The best part about Shaw, he sees straight through Emerson's BS. He knows she is hiding behind the facade. He calls her on it and it knocks her for a loop. He is definitely an alpha male but I find it refreshing that he doesn't put up with any of the ridiculous crap that Emerson dishes out. Shaw wants a relationship from Emerson, not a one night stand. The girl doesn't know how to control him and it causes a bit of drama. But you have to give credit where credit is due, Shaw is persistent and he is determined to get the "real" Emerson to make an appearance. This was a good addition to the series and I can't wait for Georgia's story in WILD!
