Incredible! With art books I like to separate what I think of just the art, and then the story/writing as well--The Art of Richard Thompson delivers everything.
Thompson is unsurprisingly a hysterical and deft interviewee, and allows for the exploration of the narrow and winding alleys of his mind.

I actually just read the comics and looked at the art...I didn't read any of the interviews or essays. I really like Thompson's Cul de Sac comics, but I didn't feel the need to learn all the details of his life and career.

This is a collection of interviews with Thompson, along with a selection of his art, and it's very fun to look at. Very sketchy and somehow perfect.
