This was a good, solid book. I enjoyed reading it, and I was invested in the characters. But there was nothing special or memorable about it, so it's just a 3 star read for me.

If you’re into something a bit cheesy, and suspending reality in terms of what a normal person would do, this might be the book for you.
I found both characters to be very well developed, but Tallie’s occupation and behaviors to be in conflicting. I know she struggles throughout the book with this, but having friends who are in the mental health field, this situation would never happen. I wanted more from both Tallie and Emmett, and was honestly a bit disappointed at the ending. A heart-warming read for sure, but not as grounded as I hoped.

I'm really unsure how to feel about this one. There were many things I liked, but in the end the whole just didn't work for me. I think this is mainly because I was sure things were going in one direction, then they did a complete 180 and headed in the opposite direction.

I didn’t know what to expect with this book, but even though it tackled numerous darker subjects, it still left you feeling hopeful and not alone in this crazy world.

What a stunning book. The writing is spectacular, the mysteries unravel perfectly, and I loved LOVED the whole thing.
