First, I want to mention first the same things I did when reviewing Fantastic Beasts:

As someone who is interested in screen and play writing, this was a good read as you can learn from it. However, as it is literally a play by play of the movie it can get boring and tedious if you've already seen it.

I would say that if you are interested as well in writing script, or even just curious about how they look and work, read it. If it is not something that calls your attention, if you get easily bored, or expect the script to contain more scenes or extra information about the movie, I would recommend that you have these things in mind when picking up this "book".

Second, I am docking half a star because I feel that sometimes Rowling forgot that she was writing a script and not a novel. I understand and respect that this is a new field for her and that she was, and is, learning as she goes. However, I couldn't help but feel a little irritated when it came to some actions that are stated given the fact that as an audience we may not be able to tell or recognize when watching the movie.

Also, despite this movie having an extended cut, the screenplay does not include any of the deleted scenes you may experience if you watch said cut. Nevertheless, if you pay close attention, you might be able to find some differences between movie and script.
