Don't be misguided by the 2 stars: this book is well-written and narratively interesting, but I don't feel like it added much to my read-shelf.

"The disease was in me. This disease had chosen me because it found in me the nourishment it needed. It would never have been able to live in the healthy, pure, childish mind which other children possess."

I'm not open minded enough to this way of writing. The "Nouveau Roman" leaves me cold. It was really painful to read it and what made it worst was that I had to study it for my High School Diploma.
