A lot better than the first book for me. I didn’t quite like how the girl went to the guy after their falling out but I understand how it probably would’ve been worse if he approached her first. But I do think he should’ve done more to try and win her back.

The storyline is really basic but at least is well writed! The author gives lots of backbones is this book.
Over-all I enjoyed a lot.

Paige is out on a not so perfect date when a strange man rescues her. That same strange man ends up being her boss. There’s quite a bit of tension between the two. His past & reputation isn’t great. His parents aren’t so great either so he doesn’t think he deserves to be loved so he tries to push her away. Kind of slow burn and slowly builds from there.

Stop this. I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS SERIES! I can't tell if this one was my favorite or the first one. I seriously can't. Paige was so fun and fiery in the first one, and she definitely carried that through here. I loved meeting the Brandt brothers - Ward and Nick<3 Once again, you cannot judge this book based off the name and title. It still surprised me when this got into some sad scenes (looking at you, Beatrice) and some kinda deep plot lines. Also it's still so well-developed?!? ALSO I HAVE GONE SO LONG INTO THIS REVIEW WITHOUT SAYING THAT THIS WAS A FAKE RELATIONSHIP TROPE!!!! IF YOUVE READ SOME OF MY OTHER REVIEWS, YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE IT!!!!! AND I LOVED ITTT!!!!!!!! Ugh and this also had that part in romance books where it all goes wrong and one of the characters self-destructs
