I love Tom Angleberger’s humor and how he portrays his love of Star Wars. Plus a bounty hunter librarian? Count me in. Fun middle grades novel.

Really cute and hilarious Star Wars illustrated book for kids, narrated in third person with funny asides to the reader, and four full-page black and white and brown AWESOME cartoon style illustrations (there should have been more of these! Loved them!). Chewie does a "petsitting job" that goes awry. Funny, good action story--loved the narrator having to translate "Shyriiwook" (Chewie's language) for us, in those funny asides.

Funny with lots of thrills and suspense, plus a great audio. Would read again, and will be great for middle school visits.

My 5 y.o. likes having longer books read to her over the course of bedtime readings. She loved this book and so did I. As a Star Wars fan for most of my almost-41 years, the novel captured the spirit of Star Wars and the characters of Chewbacca and Han Solo, but it also is written in a sly voice that a child will like. The book is probably best read aloud considering the amount of actual dialogue Chewie has. It’s great fun and both my daughter and I enjoyed it.

The great thing about Star Wars is even the kid's books are worth reading!

A cute book for kids who like Chewbacca. All the different creatures throughout the book were interesting.

Not going to lie, this book was so much fun. My girls aren't super hardcore Star Wars geeks at 8 years old, but casual fans and they loved this one. It even kind of fit the spooky fall reading theme we are currently on. This one was actually placed in an awesome part of the timeline and with great established characters that surrounded newly introduced ones and helped carry the story. The story manages also to have plenty of laughs, intense moments, action, and also has some cool Sith history in it. I honestly can't praise it enough, even though the format was totally unique and even juvenile. Seriously, this one was fun for everyone.

I was not expecting to like this as much but it was kinda great? The plot was basic but the characters were so alive that it didn't matter. There was great world building and all the little details of the planet and characters really made it come to life. The dialogue was probably the best part of it, K2 was so on point.

My one fault is that they shouldn't know things like Palps is a sith and I could have gotten by without the force speech, though it wasn't bad.
