Read it with my son and we both loved it. The illustrations are beautiful and all the animal facts were interesting to read.

Wow. This book is amazing! First of all the illustrations are gorgeous. It hearkens back to early flora and fauna guides of old but there is still something innovative and modern about it. I love the over sized format and sturdy pages. It's the kind of book some people will read cover to cover and others (like myself) will pick up and browse through. This would make a splendid gift for animal/nature/art lovers.

This book is brilliant. Loved by the 2yr old who delights in naming many of the animals in it as well as the older kids who eat up the great information about the animals. Not sure I could love it any more.

This book...wow! I first read a brief description in a family magazine, and was immediately taken by the cover! It says it's a children's book, but quite honestly, this is also a coffee table book for grownups. The illustrations are without question, the best ever. They really give you the Museum of Natural History vibe. The accompanying text is far from juvenile.
