An enjoyable fantasy, easy to read, maybe lacking a bit in the ‘fantasy’ side of things in regards to world building etc. it’s hard to really rate as I compare it to so many great fantasy novels I have read lately and it’s just not up to that standard. But enjoyable enough that I will continue on with the series.

honestly not even rooting for Mare(FMC) by the end, rooting for Cal 😩 need to read the rest of the series so I have no idea if he fails me later on 😬🥲
